HARRISBURG, Pa. - Joey Jacona (East Stroudsburg, PA/East Stroudsburg South ) scored the game winner 4 minutes into overtime, off an assist from Igor Malaquias (Brazil /Colegio Ateneu do Espirito Santo), to lead Northamtpon to 3-2 victory over Harrisburg Area Community College on Tuesday afternoon. 

After a tough first half, which saw the Spartans trail 2-1 at the intermission, the defense, led by Bob Bradford (Bethlehem, PA/Northampton ) and Matt McCoy (Upper Mt. Bethel /Bangor ), stepped up to shut down the HACC attack.  A formation change in the last few minutes of regulation lead to a great counter opportunity with Mohamed Aisset (Allentown, PA /William Allen ) finding Sam Gaye (Bath, PA/Northampton ) with just under 5 minutes remaining to tie the contest at 2-2. 

Tyler Eichelbaum (Nazareth, PA/Nazareth) was the lone bright spot in the first half, scoring just 3 mintues into the contest off an assist from Jacona. Kenan Meral (Bethlehem, PA/Liberty ) earned the win in goal, making 12 saves. 

The win moves Northampton to 6-1-0 overall and 6-0-0 in conference play.

Harrisburg falls to 3-3-1 overall and 2-3-1 in conference play. 

The Spartans travel to Delaware County Community College on Thursday for a 3:30pm tilt.
