ALLENTOWN, Pa. - The Northampton women's basketball team dropped a non-conference match-up on Saturday, falling to Penn St. Lehigh Valley, 96-42, at Cedar Crest College. 

Lamani Bruce (Bath, Pa. /Northampton ) led the Spartans with 13 points and Nicole Robinson (Bangor, Pa./Bangor ) added 10 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists.

The Lions dominated the boards, outrebounding Northampton 61-27, and forced the Spartans into 36 turnovers. 

"Disappointing effort today," exclaimed Head Coach Alyssa Bonenberger, "as a group, we just didn't have the same intensity and fire that we did on Thursday night at LCCC.  There were individuals that gave 100% today, but we need to work together as a team."

The Spartans, who fall to 2-5 overall, return to conference play on November 28th when they travel to Luzerne County Community College for a 5pm tip-off vs. the Trailblazers.
