BETHLEHEM, Pa. - NJCAA Player of the Week
Dom Moser (Easton, Pa./Easton ) recorded a triple-double to help lead the Northampton women's basketball team to an 86-44 victory over Luzerne County Community College on Thursday evening at the Arthur L. Scott Center.
Moser finished with 40 points, 20 rebounds and 10 assists as the Spartans won their 4th consecutive game.
"We started a little slow," commented Assistant Coach
Taylor Domenech, "but once we were able to get our running game going, it really opened things up for us."
Nicole Robinson (Bangor, Pa./Bangor ) added 11 points, 17 rebounds and 8 assists, as Northampton finished with 27 assists on 37 field goals.
Cynthia Perez (Allentown, Pa. /Dieruff) 12,
Taliyah Barnes (Philadelphia, Pa. /Sankofa Freedom Academy Charter ) 11 and
Laura Sweger (Elizabethville, Pa./Upper Dauphin ) 10 were also in double figures for the Spartans.
The Spartans outrebounded the Trailblazers 48-36 and held them to 24% shooting from the field.
The victory moves Northampton to 6-5 overall, 3-1 in Region XIX and 3-0 in the EPAC heading into the holiday break.
Luzerne falls to 1-7 overall, 1-4 in Region XIX and 1-3 in conference.
