HARRISBURG, Pa. - Sophomore guard
Dom Moser (Easton, Pa./Easton ) scored a school record 55 points to lead the Northampton Women's Basketball team to an 88-44 victory over Harrisburg Area Community College on Tuesday evening at the Cleveland Center.
Moser, who held the previous record of 47 points (set on November 5th vs. Cumberland), was 23 of 36 from the field and 7 of 9 from the line. Moser just missed a triple-double, grabbing 22 rebounds and recording 9 steals to go along with 6 assists. The 22 rebounds are the second most in school history for a single game (26 is the record).

The Spartans jumped out to a 47-18 lead at halftime and cruised to the 44 point victory. Northampton dominated the boards, out-rebounding Harrisburg 53-33 and they held the Hawks to 29% shooting from the field (19/66).
"We are slowly improving," stated Head Coach
Alyssa Bonenberger, "we still have a long way to go, but I am starting to see small improvements each game. We need to take each game one at a time and try to get ourselves back to .500 by break." When asked about Moser's performance, Bonenberger remarked, "Dom was simply unstoppable tonight ... 55 points and 22 rebounds in a game is unbelievable."
Laura Sweger (Elizabethville, Pa./Upper Dauphin ) added 13 points and 9 rebounds and
Krista Cappetta (Nazareth, Pa/Nazareth) had 10 points for the Spartans, who shot 48% from the field (36/75).
The victory moves Northampton to 4-5 overall, and they remain 2-1 in Region XIX and 2-0 in conference play.
Harrisburg falls to 0-4.
The Spartans are back in action on Thursday when they host NJCAA Division II County College of Morris. The women's game will tip at
8:00pm.
