VINELAND, NJ - The Northampton Baseball team fell to Cumberland County College, 6-3, on Sunday in the Region XIX championship game, forcing a winner take-all title game on Monday at 3pm. The Spartans, entered Sunday's game at 2-0, coming out of the winner's bracket, while Cumberland had to fight through the loser's bracket to earn a spot in the title match-up.
The Dukes, who fell to Northampton on Saturday 4-3, defeated RCGC on Sunday morning 4-3 to advance to the title game, while eliminating the Roadrunners.
The winner of the Northampton (34-6) vs. Cumberland (52-6) match-up earns an automatic bid to the NJCAA World Series, while the runner-up has a shot at the at-large berth.
