BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Northampton Volleyball team completed the "Falcon Triple Play" downing Lackawanna College 25-9, 25-6, 25-4 on Thursday evening at the Arthur L. Scott Spartan Center. The victory was the third of the day by a Northampton team over Lackawanna, as the Golf team captured the Falcon Invitational and the Women's Soccer team topped the Falcons, 11-1.
Alysce Molchan (Nazareth, PA/Notre Dame - Green Pond ) recorded 26 assists and 4 aces and
Katrina Shelly (Lancaster, PA/Hempfield ) added 10 kills and 4 aces as the Spartans rolled; 25-9, 25-6, 25-4.
Emily Petrat (Bethlehem, PA/Freedom ) contributed 8 kills,
Taylor Womack (Effort, PA/Pocono Mt. East ) had 5 aces and 3 kills and
Bridget Crimi (Nazareth, PA/Notre Dame - Green Pond ) registered 7 digs and 4 aces.
The win propels Northampton to 9-1 overall, while Lackawanna falls to 2-5.
The Spartans travel to Toms River, NJ on Saturday to compete in a Region XIX tri-match with Ocean and Bergen. Northampton faces Ocean at noon and Bergen at 1:30pm.
