COLORADO SPRINGS, Co. - The Northampton Women's Tennis team is ranked 6th in the inaugural NJCAA Division III poll, released Friday by the national office. 

The Spartans, under 5th year head coach Megan Sell, are currently 3-0 heading into two big Region XIX matches this weekend.  The Spartans travel to 7th ranked RCGC on Saturday and then host Ocean County College at Northwood Racquet Club on Sunday.

Sell, who is 27-15 with 3 national tournament appearances during her tenure as head coach, is relying on a five freshmen and a sophomore this season, led by Elise Van Ormer (Macungie, PA/Emmaus) at #1 singles and doubles. "I am really optimistic about this group," remarked Sell, "they have been working extremely hard, but this weekend will be a big test for us, especially for our freshmen ... we will get an opportunity to see where we stand against some of the best in our region and the country."
