SCRANTON, Pa. - After a mini break in their schedule, the Northampton Volleyball team returned to action on Tuesday night, traveling to Lackawanna College to face the Falcons in a non-conference matchup. 

The Spartans jumped out early, taking the first game 25-10 and then cruised to a straight set 3-0 victory (25-10, 25-6, 25-18). 

Alysce Molchan (Nazareth, PA/Notre Dame - Green Pond ) recorded 35 assists, putting her at over 1200 for her career, and added 5 aces and 20 service points. 

Katrina Shelly (Lancaster, PA/Hempfield ) had 12 kills, 2 digs and  aces and Emily Petrat (Bethlehem, PA/Freedom ) added 8 kills and 3 aces. 

The Spartans, who received votes in this week's NJCAA poll, improve to 13-2 overall with the victory. 

Lackawanna falls to 3-10 overall. 

The Spartans host a tri-match on Saturday, with Harrisburg Area Community College (7-4) and Middlesex County College (3-6) visiting the Arthur L. Scott Spartan Center.
