BETHLEHEM, Pa. -
Stivan Kumbarov (Wind Gap, PA /Pen Argyl) scored 3 goals to help lead the Northampton men's soccer team to a 4-1 victory over Lehigh Carbon Community College on Thursday afternoon at Spartan Field.
Kumbarov broke a 0-0 deadlock with just over a minute remaining before halftime, scoring off an assist from
Jean-Claude Pabulo (Allentown, PA/William Allen ) to give the Spartans a 1-0 lead.
Kumbarov struck quickly in the second half, scoring back to back goals off of assists from
Mehmed Letifov (Wind Gap, PA /Pen Argyl), to complete the hat trick.

Pabulo finished off the scoring with a penalty kick late in the second half to make the final 4-1.
Nick Mazzella (Bangor, PA /Bangor ) made 8 saves, including 2 highlight reel stops, to record the win between the pipes.
"I was really happy with our passing tonight," remarked Head Coach
Mario Barrantes, "we were able to find the open man with 5 to 10 yard passes and maintain the majority of possession."
The win moves Northampton to 7-3-0 overall, 6-2-0 in Region XIX and 6-1-0 in the EPAC.
Lehigh Carbon falls to 3-9-0 overall.
The Spartans improve to 15-1-0 all-time vs. LCCC.
The Spartans travel to Edision, NJ on Saturday to face Middlesex County College at 1pm.
