NEWTOWN, Pa. - The Northampton men's soccer team dropped their conference opener on Tuesday, falling 5-2 at Bucks County Community College.

The Centurions, who received votes in this week's NJCAA national poll, dominated play, forcing Spartan goalkeeper Nick Mazzella (Bangor, PA /Bangor ) to make 19 saves.

Stivan Kumbarov (Wind Gap, PA /Pen Argyl) scored both of Northampton's goals, with Mehmed Letifov (Wind Gap, PA /Pen Argyl) recording an assist. 

The loss drops Northampton to 1-2-0 overall, 0-2-0 in Region XIX and 0-1-0 in EPAC play. 

Bucks improves to 4-0-0 overall, 4-0-0 in Region and 3-0-0 in the conference. 

The Spartans will look to regroup when they host Montgomery County Community College on Thursday at 3:30pm.
