BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Kiarah Turner scored 39 points to lead Middlesex to a 74-55 victory over Northampton in women's basketball action on Thursday evening at the Arthur L. Scott Center. 

Briona McClain (Stroudsburg, PA /Pocono Mt. West ) had 18 points and 18 rebounds and Briana Petersen (East Stroudsburg, PA /East Stroudsburg North ) added 15 points and 14 rebounds to pace the Spartans. 

"Turnovers were once again a big issue for us tonight," remarked Head Coach Alyssa Bonenberger, "we allowed their pressure to get to us ... we made a few good runs in the second half, but then came up empty on a couple possessions, which didn't allow us to get closer than 9 points."

Ashley Robinson (East Stroudsburg, PA /East Stroudsburg South) added 10 points and 4 assists, while McClain also added 5 blocked shots.

The loss drops Northampton to 7-9 overall and 0-7 in Region XIX.

Middlesex improves to 14-9 overall and 9-6 in the Region.

Northampton is set to host Brookdale (4-14) on Saturday at noon.
