Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 MYRTLE BEACH, SC - The 6th ranked Northampton Baseball team opened their spring trip with two setbacks on Sunday, falling to NJCAA Division II Chesapeake College (MD) 5-3 in their opener and then falling to the College of DuPage (IL), 7-3, in their nightcap.

Marcus Nales (Bethlehem, PA/Liberty) led the offensive charge vs. Chesapeake for the Spartans with a 2 for 3 effort at the plate, with a double and a RBI, while Jordan Siket (Pottstown, PA/Owen J. Roberts) also recorded 2 hits. 

Brandon Walters (York, PA/Central York) took the loss on the mound, allowing 5 runs (2 earned) over 6 innings of work, on 4 hits, while walking 4 and striking out 7 .  

Jordan Livingston (Stroudsburg, PA/Stroudsburg) pitched the 7th, walking 1 and fanning 2.

Hunter Johns (Ephrata, PA/Ephrata) took the loss, working 5 innings, allowing 11 hits and 6 runs while walking 3 and striking out 8. 

Max Pomponi (Norwalk, CT/Brien McMahon (CT)) came on in relief, allowing 1 hit and 1 run, striking out 1 batter. 

The Spartans, 0-3 overall, will open up Monday vs. PSU-DuBois at 9am.
