EDISON, NJ - The Northampton Softball team dropped a doubleheader to Middlesex College on Friday afternoon, but picked up a victory in a halted game vs. the Colts from April 8th, winning 11-6.

The Spartans picked up their 6th win of the year, holding off Middlesex in the top of the 7th in a halted game from April 8th, winning 11-6.Â
Maria Pezzino (Nazareth, PA/Bethlehem Catholic) finished 3 for 3 with 2 RBI and
Madison Hendrickson (Bethlehem, PA/Bethlehem Catholic) was 2 for 3 with 2 RBI.Â
GAME ONE - Lost 11-0
The Spartans only managed one hit in game one off Kaitlynne McCarthy, who struck out 5 in the complete game victory.Â
Alexa Fancera (Bethlehem, PA/Freedom) lined a single in the top of the 4th for Northampton's only hit of the contest.Â
Hailey Druckenmiller (Orefield, PA/Parkland ) took the loss, allowing 11 runs (6 earned) on 9 hits while striking out 2 and walking 3.Â
GAME TWO - LOST 3-0
Kaitlynne McCarthy went the distance again in game two for Middlesex, holding the Spartans to only 2 hits in the Colts 3-0 victory.Â
Alexa Fancera (Bethlehem, PA/Freedom) and
Destiny Koppenhaver (Easton, PA/Commonwealth Charter ) each singled and
Madison Hendrickson (Bethlehem, PA/Bethlehem Catholic) picked up 2 walks to lead Northampton.Â
Emily Michael (Easton/Easton ) took the loss in the circle for the Spartans, allowing 3 runs (2 earned) on 7 hits while striking out 4 and walking 4.
The Spartans, now 6-10 overall, are off until April 29th when they travel to RCSJ-Gloucester.Â
Middlesex improves to 7-13 overall.Â
