SEWELL, NJ - The Northampton Softball team dropped a doubleheader to 4th ranked RCSJ-Gloucester on Thursday afternoon, falling 12-4 and 10-5, to the Roadrunners.
GAME ONE - Lost 12-4
Hailey Druckenmiller (Orefield, PA/Parkland ) was 1 for 3 with a double and 3 RBI,
Sophia Iovino (Bethlehem, PA/Bethlehem Catholic) was 2 for 2 with a double and a triple and
Alexa Fancera (Bethlehem, PA/Freedom) was 1 for 3 with a RBI to pace the Spartan offense.
Druckenmiller took the loss in the circle, allowing 12 runs (11 earned) on 11 hits while striking out 1 and walking 5.
GAME TWO - Lost 10-5
Maria Pezzino (Nazareth, PA/Bethlehem Catholic) drove in 3 runs in game two, finishing 2 for 4 with a double, and
Alexa Fancera (Bethlehem, PA/Freedom) added 2 hits, including a double, as the pair accounted for half of Northampton's 8 hits.
Emily Michael (Easton/Easton ) went the distance for the Spartans, allowing 10 runs (7 earned) on 13 hits with 2 strikeouts and 3 walks.
The Spartans fall to 6-12 with the loss, while RCSJ-Gloucester improves to 19-6.
Northampton is off until May 4th when they host Montgomery County Community College.
