BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Northampton women's basketball snapped their two-game losing streak with a convincing 69-39 victory over Division II County College of Morris on Thursday evening at the Arthur L. Scott Center. 
The Spartans only led by 2 after the 1st quarter, 14-12, but then extended the lead to 13 at intermission on the heels of an 18-7 2nd quarter advantage. 
Northampton held the Titans to 27% shooting from the floor, forced them into 33 turnovers and held a dominating 57-35 advantage on the boards. 
"Our defense really stood out tonight," remarked Head Coach 
Terrence Bomar, "I liked our intensity on that end, we still have some work to do in terms of execution on the offensive end, but overall a good effort tonight."
Alayna Day (Reading, PA/Muhlenburg) led the Spartans with 16 points, while 
Kania Day (East Stroudsburg, PA/East Stroudsburg South) added 13 points and 10 rebounds and 
Bryanna Rivera (Reading, PA/Greenfield (MA)) chipped in with 11.
The win moves Northampton to 2-2 overall on the season, while Morris falls to 0-2.
The Spartans will stay in the DII ranks as they travel to Bryn Mawr, PA on Saturday to face Harcum College.
