BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The 12th ranked Northampton women's basketball team upset 9th ranked Prince George's Community College (MD) on Saturday afternoon, downing the Owls 83-73 in the NJCAA Top-15 showdown.
Kania Day (East Stroudsburg, PA/East Stroudsburg South) had a game-high 33 points and 13 rebounds, while
Zoe Cruz (Stroudsburg, PA/Pocono Mt. East) added 14 points, including 3 3-pointers.Â
The Spartans led by 14 at 72-58 with 5:59 remaining, before the Owls cut to margin to just 5 with under 3 minutes to play.Â

Anisha Sepulveda (Lancaster, PA/McCaskey) added 14 points and 9 rebounds for Northampton, which out-rebounded PGCC, 66 to 42.Â
The win moves Northampton to 2-0 overall, while Prince George's falls to 0-1.Â
The Spartans are now off until November 9th, when they travel to Philadelphia to face the Community College of Philadelphia at 5pm.
