BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The 2nd seeded Northampton women's basketball team used a well-rounded offensive effort to down 7th seeded Montgomery County Community College and advance to the NJCAA North Atlantic District semifinals with a 70-47 victory over the Mustangs on Tuesday evening at the Arthur L. Scott Center.
Four Spartans were in double figures as Northampton shot 43.3% from the field and had 20 assists on 26 field goals.
Zoe Cruz (Swiftwater, PA/Pocono Mt. East) led Northampton with 22 points, while
Xion Spence (Bushkill, PA/East Stroudsburg North) finished with 13,
Kania Day (East Stroudsburg, PA/East Stroudsburg South) had 11 and
Anajah Hines (Wendell, NC/Corinth Holders) 10.

Alayna Day (Reading, PA/Muhlenburg) had 6 assists, we really did a nice job making the extra pass and it showed in our field goal percentage. This is big win for us, as we get one step closer to our goal."
Day and Spence each had 8 rebounds, as the Spartans out-rebounded the Mustangs 52-31.
The 2nd seeded Spartans improve to 18-6, while Montgomery finishes the season at 9-9.
The Spartans advance to the NJCAA North Atlantic District semifinals vs. #6 Passaic on Thursday March 2nd at 5pm.
