NEWTOWN, Pa. - The Northampton softball team improved to 9-5 overall with a doubleheader sweep of Bucks County Community College on Tuesday afternoon, downing the Centurions 13-4 and 19-2 at Cipriano Park.
GAME ONE - Won 13-4Â

Spartans scored 4 runs in the top of the 1st inning and scored at least one run in all 5 innings, as they downed Bucks 13-4 in a 5-inning run-rule shortened affair.Â
Jillian Reed (Burlington, NJ/Burlington Institute of Technology (NJ)) was 4 for 4 with 3 runs scored,
Siera Klingle (East Bangor, PA/Bangor) was 2 for 3 with 2 runs scored and 2 RBI and
Reggie Bangcoro (Easton, PA/Easton) was 2 for 3, with a homerun and 3 RBI to pace the Spartan offense.Â
Aramie Arroyo (Minersville, PA/Minersville) picked up the win in the circle with 3 innings of work, allowing 3 runs (2 earned) on 4 hits, striking out 8.Â
Theresa Luongo (Phillipsburg, NJ/Phillipsburg (NJ)) pitched the final 2 innings, allowing 1 run on 1 hit with 2 K's.Â
GAME TWO - Won 19-2
In game two, the Spartans jumped out to a 10-0 lead and then coasted to a 19-2 win in 5 innings.Â

Siera Klingle (East Bangor, PA/Bangor) was 4 for 5 with 4 RBI,
Grace Perna (Stewartsville, NJ/Notre Dame - Green Pond)Â had 3 RBI and
Kara Wilson (Bethlehem, PA/Nazareth) added 3 hits for the Spartan offense. Â
Klingle earned the win, throwing a complete game 5-hitter, allowing 2 runs (1 earned) with 7 strikeouts.Â
Northampton, now 9-5 overall, hosts Bergen Community College on Thursday in a Region 19 doubleheader.Â
