BLACKWOOD, NJ - The 10th ranked Northampton Softball team picked up two wins on Tuesday afternoon, sweeping the Cougars of Camden County College, 8-0 and 10-0, in a Region 19 doubleheader.

GAME ONE - WON 8-0 (5 innings)
Sydney Harper (Nazareth, PA/Nazareth) threw a complete game 1-hitter, striking out 7 and walking just 1, in the shutout victory.

Maggie Pagotto (Lehighton, PA/Lehighton) finished 2 for 3 with a double, 2 RBI and 2 runs scored and Morgan Boyd (East Stroudsburg, PA/East Stroudsburg South) was 2 for 3 with a double and 2 runs scored to pace the offense.

Katie Knecht (Pen Argyl, PA/Pen Argyl) added 2 hits for the Spartans.

GAME TWO - WON 10-0 (5 innings)
In game two, Emmy Kozy fired a complete game 2-hitter, striking out 6 and walking 2 to earn the shutout victory.

Northampton put 5 runs on the board in the top of the 1st and that was all Kozy would need, as the Spartans coasted to a 10-0, run-rule shortened victory.

Sydney Harper (Nazareth, PA/Nazareth) went 2 for 4 with 2 RBI, Molly Devers (Bethlehem, PA/Liberty) was 2 for 3, Morgan Boyd (East Stroudsburg, PA/East Stroudsburg South) was 2 for 3 with 2 RBI and Mya Frana (Whitehall, PA/Whitehall) added 2 hits for the Spartans.

The Spartans had 14 hits in the victory.

The two wins move Northampton to 11-8 overall and 11-6 in Region 19.

Camden falls to 6-31 overall and 5-19 in the Region.

The Spartans are back in action on Wednesday when they host Bergen in a triple-header, with game one scheduled for 2pm.  Game one is the resumption of a suspended game from March 11th, with Northampton leading 13-0 in the 3rd inning.
