NEWTOWN, Pa. - The NCC women's volleyball team clinched second place in the EPCC regular season standings with a 3-0 sweep (25-13, 25-17, 25-14) of Bucks County Community College on Tuesday night.

The Spartans, led by sophomore Marissa Burns and freshman Karla Diekman (9 kills and 7 aces), improved to 9-3 in league play and 10-6 overall.

"I think we have really matured as a team as the season has progressed," stated Head Coach Missy Lynn, "I am very proud of how these girls have improved."

Final seedings for the EPCC tournament will be released later this week, but projections show the 2nd seeded Spartans facing 3rd seeded Lehigh-Carbon with the winner facing either #1 seeded Harrisburg Area Community College or 4th seeded Luzerne County Community College for the league title.  

The EPCC tournament will be held at Harrisburg on October 10th.
