BETHLEHEM, PA - Freshman
Casey Ord went 4-for-6 with four runs scored to lead the Spartans to a doubleheader sweep of Montgomery County Community College on Thursday.
In game one,
Maxine Szulborski (3-2) scattered five hits over seven innings, allowing only 2 runs as the Spartans won 8-2.
Tiffany Kobordo was 3-for-3 with 2 RBI's, while
Katlyn Snyder and
Brandi Musser each contributed two hits.
In game two,
Heather Compton held the Mustangs to four hits en route to a 9-0 victory. The Spartans pounded out 13 hits, including a two-run double by
Michelle Palmisano. Danielle Naviera added two hits, as NCC improved to 20-7 overall.
Northampton, the 7th ranked team in the NJCAA, travels to Ocean County College on Saturday.
