Newton, NJ - Northampton Community College swept Sussex County Community College in a Region XIX, Division III doubleheader on Thursday.  The Spartans scored 2 runs in the top of the 9th to win an extra-inning batte, 4-2.  Lindsay Frontino (Parkland) went the distance to earn the victory, while Tiffany Korbordo (Northwestern Lehigh) had 2 hits to pace the offense.  In game two Heather Compton (Easton) and Erin Keegan (Pocono Mt. West) combined to hold the Skylanders to 1 run as the NCC escaped with a 2-1 victory.  Carly Brawn (Parkland) and preseason All-American Katlyn Snyder (Liberty) each had 2 hits and an RBI to lead NCC at the plate.  

Northampton improves to 9-6 overall and 2-0 in Region XIX.  The Spartans host Middlesex Community College on Saturday at 12pm.
