BETHLEHEM, Pa. - NJCAA Division II Lackawanna College spoiled the last regular season home match of the four departing Northampton sophomores, taking the match; 17-25, 26-24, 25-17, 25-22 on Wednesday night as Tanya Spitzel, Karla Diekman, Holli Capricuso and Amanda Lynch ended the home portion of the NCC careers.

"It was an emotional night," commented Head Coach Missy Lynn, "these four girls have meant so much to the program the last two years."

Courtney Rice recorded 8 kills and 12 digs to lead NCC.

The Spartans, who are 8-12 overall and 7-3 in Region XIX, have earned the #2 seed for the Regional playoffs this weekend at Bergen County College and will face 3rd seeded Atlantic Cape Community College at 9:00am.
