MYRTLE BEACH, SC - Sussex County Community College (NJ) scored 6 unearned runs to defeat Northampton, 6-5, on Wednesday morning at the Snowbird Classic.

Casey Ord was 3 for 4 with 2 runs scored, Tiffany Kobordo was 2 for 2 and Gina Falco was 1 for 1 and had 3 walks to lead the Spartan offense. 

"Our defense needs to improve," remarked Head Coach Sam Carrodo, "give Sussex credit, they took advantage of our mistakes."

Erin LaBar (1-1) took the loss for Northampton.

NCC is scheduled to return to action this afternoon vs. Alfred State College (NY).
