MAYS LANDING, NJ - The NCC softball team rebounded from their doubleheader split with Camden on Saturday to sweep Atlantic Cape Community College; 12-3, 5-1 on Sunday.
In game one Heather Compton improved to 3-1, allowing four hits while striking out six and walking three.
Brandi Musser was 3 for 3 and Krysten Rockovits was 3 for 4 to lead the Spartan attack.
Erin LaBar and Carly Brawn each had 2 RBI.
In game two Erin LaBar (4-1) struck out seven and allowed five hits as the Spartans prevailed 5-1.
Ashley Venturino was 2 for 4 with 2 RBI, Tiffany Kobordo added a RBI single and Alexis Jordan had a RBI double to pace NCC.
The Spartans, now 19-5 overall and 12-2 in conference, travel to Cumberland County College on Tuesday April 13th for a 3:30pm doubleheader.
Game one on Tuesday will be Coach Sam Carrodo's first opportunity to achieve the elusive 300 win mark for his career. Carrodo enters the game with a career record of 299-58.
