TOMS RIVER, NJ - The NCC softball team, seeded 3rd, fell to 2nd seeded Brookdale Community College 3-0 in their first game of the Regional Final Four on Saturday morning at Ocean County College.

The Jersey Blues scored all three of their runs in the third inning on two doubles and an error.

Casey Ord was 2 for 3 and Kate Check was 1 for 2 to lead NCC.

Lindsay Frontino took the loss on the mound, allowing six hits, striking out two and walking none.

The Spartans will face top-seeded Gloucester County College, which was upset, 4-3, by 4th seeded Camden County College in the 12:00pm game.

The loser of the Northampton / Brookdale game will be eliminated from the double-elimination tournament.
