BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Atlantic Cape Community College improved to 2-1 overall with a 3-1 victory over the Spartans in Region XIX volleyball action on Tuesday night.  The Buccaneers took the match 25-16, 20-25, 25-22, 26-24.

Courtney Rice led Northampton with 7 kills and 9 digs while Karla Diekman added 5 kills and 6 digs.

"We continue to play with a lack of enthusiasm," commented Head Coach Missy Lynn, "every match it comes down to mental mistakes and the lack of a killer instinct to put teams away.  If you look at games three and four tonight, we had opportunities to win those games, but we just couldn't make that one big play to seal the win."

The loss drops Northampton to 2-6 overall and 1-1 in Region XIX. 

The Spartans travel to Union County College on Thursday for a 7:00pm match.
