BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The NCC Spartan Center played host to a Region XIX quad match on Saturday, with six matches; featuring Bergen Community College, Atlantic Cape Community College and Union County College and the Spartans.
The Spartans, who were nationally ranked in the latest NJCAA poll, swept through the day defeating Bergen 3-0 (25-13, 25-20, 25-18), Union 3-0 (25-14, 25-9, 25-23) and Atlantic Cape 3-0 (25-14, 25-21, 25-10).
"This was a real marathon," remarked Head Coach
Adrian Yaguez, "I am very proud of the girls, they stayed focused throughout the day and achieved our goal of winning all three matches."
Atlantic Cape finished the day 1-2, Bergen was 2-1 and Union 0-3.
Kelly Yagerhofer had 21 digs, 20 aces and 18 kills,
Halie Cintron registered 49 assists and
Meghan Granite added 16 kills in the three matches to lead NCC.
The Spartans are in sole possession of first place in Region XIX Division III with a record of 7-0 in conference play and 9-0 overall.
NCC travels to County College of Morris on October 4th for a non-conference matchup.
