BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Overcoming a slugglish start to the day, the NCC softball team recovered to sweep Montgomery County Community College, 10-2, 10-2, in a Region XIX doubleheader on Thursday afternoon.

MontCo jumped out to a 2-0 lead in game one, but the Spartans settled down behind the pitching of Emily Perruso and the bat of Morgan Neel to battle back and take the 10-2 victory. 

Neel, who hit her 4th homerun of the season, added 3 RBI giving her 20 on the season.

In game two, Jackie Gates(2 for 2, 3 RBI) led a strong offensive showing for NCC, as they earned another 10-2 win.

NCC improves to 6-2 overall and 4-2 in Region XIX.

The Spartans travel to nationally-ranked Gloucester County College on Saturday and then host Cumberland County College on Sunday.
