SCRANTON, Pa. - The Northampton women's volleyball team ran their winning streak to 13 consecutive games, defeating host Lackawanna College Wednesday evening; 25-15, 25-16, 25-21.
Northampton High School's
Kelly Yagerhofer had 12 kills, 7 aces and 6 digs, while Pine Grove's
Barbara Dimon added 7 kills. The Bethlehem Catholic duo of
Ashley McCauley and
Anna Domyan combined for 11 kills, 12 digs and 33 assists.
"This is a good road win for us," commented Northampton Head Coach
Adrian Yaguez, "Lackawanna is good volleyball school and they have great fan support for their program. The girls put in a very workmanlike performance tonight and we were able to get the victory."
Meghan Granite recorded 6 aces,
Lindsey Kizer had 7 digs and
Alyssa Haderthauer added 3 digs for NCC.
The win propels NCC to 13-0 overall and 11-0 in Region XIX and 13-0 in the EPAC.
Lackawanna falls to 12-11 overall and 7-3 in the EPAC.
The Spartans are now off until October 9th when they travel to Schnecksville to face EPAC rival Lehigh Carbon Community College.
