LINCROFT, NJ - The Northampton softball team dropped a Region XIX doubleheader on Saturday, falling to Brookdale Community College 4-1 and 8-0.

Kristin Steiner was 1 for 3 with a run scored and Shelby Belzecky was 1 for 2 with an RBI to lead NCC in game one.

In game two, Belzecky managed Northampton's only hit as the Jersey Blues won 8-0.

Northampton fall to 8-6 overall and 7-5 in Region XIX.

Brookdale improves to 26-1 and 10-0 in Region XIX.

The Spartans return to action on Sunday when they host Middlesex County College in a doubleheader starting at noon.
