BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Northampton Volleyball team, ranked 8th in the latest NJCAA national poll, cruised to two victories on Saturday, sweeping conference foes Manor College and Bucks County Communitiy College to improve to 8-0 on the season.
In match one, the Spartans jumped out early and sprinted past Manor, 25-5, 25-5, 25-4.Â
Emily Koehler recorded 10 kills,
Sawyer Hoyak had 6 aces and
Ashley McCauley added 22 assists to pace the NCC attack.
In match two, NCC swept through Bucks County, 25-7, 25-4, 25-9 to earn the conference victory. 2012 Region XIX Tournament MVP
Anna Domyan notched 13 kills,
Ashley McCauley recorded 30 assists and
Samantha Bertasavage had 8 aces to lead Northampton.
Northampton returns to action on Monday when they host undefeated Harrisburg Area Community College in a pivotal Region XXI matchup between conference leaders at 7pm in the Arthur L. Scott Spartan Center.
