Hawks Soar Past Spartans, 3-1, in Men's Soccer

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Harrisburg Area Community College used two late second-half goals to down Northampton, 3-1, in men's soccer on Saturday afternoon.

Travis Miller got Harrisburg on the board at the 17 minute mark of the first half, giving the Hawks a 1-0 lead, which they held through halftime.

Northampton's Brian Garcia tied the contest at 1-1 with a goal early in the second half.  Zach Fuls (14 saves) kept the Spartans in the game, making a number of spectacular saves throughout the second half, but Harrisburg was able to eventually wear down the Spartan defense and find the back of the net twice to earn the 3-1 conference victory.

Northampton, now 1-9-0 on the season, if off until Saturday October 11th when they travel to Schnecksville, PA to face EPAC rival Lehigh Carbon Community College.

Harrisburg improves to 6-3-1 overall with the victory.
