Spartan Shortstop Taryn Zietlow
BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Northampton and Lackawanna split a wild doubleheader on Tuesday, with the Falcons taking game one 4-3 and the Spartans winning the nightcap, 17-16.

In game one, two costly errors by Northampton in the top of the 7th allowed Lackawanna to score 2 runs and take a 4-1 lead.  The Spartans were able to plate 2 runs in the bottom of the 7th, but it wasn't enough as they stranded runners on first and third, falling 4 to 3.  Shelby Belzecky (2 for 3) hit her 4th homerun of the season in the 4th inning and Kaycie Stem had 2 RBI to lead Northampton.
