BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Northampton softball team moved to 8-2 in Region XIX with a doubleheader sweep of Sussex County Community College on Tuesday afternoon at Spartan Field.
Rikki Correll struck out 9 and only allowed 2 hits in game one as NCC prevailed 11-3.
Jesi Cericola was 3 for 4 with 2 doubles and 2 RBI and
Shelby Belzecky was 2 for 2 to pace the Spartan attack.

In game two, Correll earned her second victory of the day, throwing another two-hitter in a 5-1 Northampton victory. Cericola went 2 for 3 and
Hailley Houck hit a RBI triple in the bottom of the 6th to seal the victory.

The Spartans, who have won four straight, return to action on Wednesday April 9th as they travel to Randolph, NJ to face Division II County College of Morris.
