Raritan Valley Rallies to Top Spartans

BRANCHBURG, NJ - Raritan Valley Community College used a late first-half tally and two second half goals to overcome an early 1-0 deficit and earn a 3-1 victory on Thursday afternoon over Northampton in women's soccer.

Emy Jeanneau scored her 6th goal of the season 10 minutes into the contest to give Northampton a 1-0 lead, which they held until 3:36 remaning in the first half when RVCC tied the game.

Rhiannon Wille and Robyn Bradley each scored in the second half for RVCC, which improved to 1-0-0 on the season.

"It was a good effort," commented Head Coach Scott Cullen, "the injuries just really put us in a tough spot due to our lack of depth.  I saw a number of positives out there today, we just need to keep everyone on the field."

Alexa Korinchak recorded 10 saves for Northampton, which falls to 1-1-0 on the season.

The Spartans return to action on Saturday when they host Bergen Community College at 12pm.
