BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Brookdale Community College, the defending national champions, scored 49 seconds into the game and cruised to a 7-0 victory over Northampton in a NJCAA women's soccer match on Tuesday afternoon.
Brooke Tartis, who scored Brookdale's first goal, ended the match with 3 goals as the Jersey Blues improved to 3-1-0 on the season.
"They are very talented and very well-coached," commented Northampton mentor
Scott Cullen, "Coach Miller has done a great job with the program ... they have set the standard for our region."
Alexa Korinchak had 3 saves to lead Northampton.
Northampton, 1-2-0, returns to action on Saturday when they travel to Toms River, NJ to face Ocean County College and Head Coach AJ Trump.
