Sarria's Two Goals Not Enough as Bergen Tops Spartans, 6-3

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Freshman Laura Sarria (Easton, PA/Notre Dame Green Pond) scored two goals, but it wasn't enough as Bergen Community College scored 5 goals in the second half to earn a 6-3 victory over the Spartans on Tuesday afternoon.

Sarria now has 14 goals on the season, which ties her for 13th place nationally.

Natalie Tuffy (Scott Township, Pa /Lakeland) added a goal and Judea Cardwell (Easton, PA /Easton ) and Erika Johnson each had assists for Northampton,which falls to 2-8-0. The victory improves Bergen to 5-8-0.

Alexa Korinchak (Hellertown, PA/Saucon Valley ) made 14 saves for the Spartans.

The Spartans game on Thursday at Sussex has been cancelled, as the Division I Skylanders have make-up games that must be played prior to the seeding deadline, thus they were forced to scrap the non-conference contest.

Northampton will now return to action on Saturday at noon when they host Union County College.
