NEWTOWN, Pa. - The Northampton women's volleyball team finished the 2016 Region XIX regular season undefeated, downing Bucks County Community College 25-11. 25-7, 25-14 on Tuesday evening at Rice Pavillion on the Bucks Campus. 

Katrina Shelly (Mountville, PA /Hempfield ) recorded 16 kills and 14 digs, Bridget Lozier (Saylorsburg, PA/Pleasant Valley) had 9 kills and 5 blocks, Alysce Molchan (Nazareth, PA/Notre Dame - Green Pond ) registered 26 assists and Megan Crimi (Nazareth, PA /Notre Dame - Green Pond ) had 6 aces and 7 digs to lead the Spartans. 

Northampton, ranked 9th in the latest national poll, finishes the regular season 26-1 and 12-0 in Region XIX.  The Spartans have not lost a Region XIX regular season match since October 17, 2011.

Bucks finishes 8-8 overall and 4-7 in Region XIX. 

The Spartans are the favorite to be the number one seed in the upcoming Region XIX playoffs, set to start on Saturday October 15th.
