BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Northampton women's soccer team dropped their regular season finale, falling 5-1 to Middlesex County College on Saturday afternoon. 

Judea Cardwell (Easton, PA /Easton ) got the Spartans on the board first, but the Colts quickly tied the match and led 4-1 at halftime. 

The loss drops Northampton from playoff contention, as they finish the season 5-6-1 overall and 3-4-1 in Region XIX.  Teams must have a minimum of a .500 winning percentage overall, or in the Region, to qualify for the postseason. 

The game marked the final contest for sophomores; Laura Sarria (Easton, PA /Notre Dame - Green Pond ), Judea Cardwell (Easton, PA /Easton ) and Shyra Cardwell (Easton, PA /Easton ). 

Middlesex improves to 7-3-2 overall and 5-2-2 in Region XIX.
