Volleyball Finishes 6th at NJCAA National Tournament

ROCHESTER, MN - The Northampton women's volleyball team concluded another highly successful season with a 6th place finish at the NJCAA national tournament, falling to 5th seeded Columbus State (OH) on Saturday morning, 11-25, 21-25, 20-25.

Bridget Lozier (Saylorsburg, PA/Pleasant Valley) recorded 9 kills and 7 digs, Katrina Shelly (Mountville, PA /Hempfield ) had 8 kills, Emily Petrat (Bethlehem, PA /Freedom ) notched 26 assists and Kalli Walling (Saylorsburg, PA /Pleasant Valley) had 2 aces and 12 digs as the Spartans finished with a 31-3 overall record.

"You obviously come here hoping to win the whole thing," remarked Head Coach Adrian Yaguez, "so there is some disappointment when you don't, but overall I couldn't be prouder of the team ... this group worked very hard and had a tremendous season that they should be very proud of."

The Spartans will return to Bethlehem on Sunday afternoon.
