BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Kailee Dube (Milford, PA/Delaware Valley ) had 5 RBI on the afternoon, including a 2-run homerun in game one, to help lead the Northampton Softball team to a doubleheader sweep (5-2, 16-4) of Lehigh Carbon Community College on Thursday at Spartan Field. 

GAME ONE 
Northampton got off to a quick start in game one, as Sierra Flurer (Nazareth, PA/Nazareth ) drove in Alexis Lobb (Reading, PA/Muhlenberg Sr. High) to give the Spartans an early 1-0 lead and then Kailee Dube (Milford, PA/Delaware Valley ) smashed a 2-run homerun to put the Spartans up 3-0 after one inning.  The Spartans added two runs in the 5th, as Flurer (2 for 4, double, 2 RBI), drove in Samantha ZeRuth (Bangor, PA/Bangor ), and Dube (2 for 3, 3 RBI) drove home Flurer.  Flurer earned the win on the mound, striking out 5 and allowing 2 runs, as the Spartans prevailed 5-2. 

GAME TWO
Alexis Lobb (Reading, PA/Muhlenberg Sr. High) helped spark a 10-run 4th inning for Northampton, lacing a bases loaded double, driving in 3 runs.  Kailee Dube (Milford, PA/Delaware Valley ) added 2 runs and 2 RBI, Cathryn Cusano (Easton, PA /Easton) was 3 for 4 with a double and Bridget Lozier (Saylorsburg, PA/Pleasant Valley) finished 2 for 2 with 2 RBI.  Sierra Flurer (Nazareth, PA/Nazareth ) picked up her second victory of the day on the mound, allowing 3 earned runs.  Flurer also finished 3 for 3 at the plate with 3 RBI.

The sweep moves Northampton to 4-1-1 overall and 4-0 in Region XIX.

Lehigh Carbon falls to 1-7 overall and 0-4 in Region XIX. 

Northampton returns to action on Saturday when they host Ocean County College in a doubleheader starting at noon.
