BETHLEHEM, Pa. - NJCAA Division I member Sussex County Community College used their superior size and speed to defeat the Northampton women's soccer team on Thursday afternoon, downing the Spartans 9-0. 

"Sussex is a very talented team," commented Head Coach Scott Cullen, "I saw some positive things out there today for us, hopefully we can build off those as we continue to fight for a playoff berth."

Melissa Schnappauf (Nazareth, PA/Nazareth) made 10 saves for the Spartans, who fall to 4-4-1 overall and remain 2-2-1 in Region XIX Division III play. 

Sussex improves to 5-3-0 overall. 

Northampton returns to the pitch on Saturday when they host Potomac State (WV) at 1pm.
