NEWTON, NJ - The Northampton Women's Soccer team dropped a non-league game on Tuesday, falling 4-0 to NJCAA Division I member Sussex County Community College. 

The Skylanders led 1-0 at intermission and added goals at the 52nd, 70th and 85th minute marks to earn the victory. 

Northampton goalkeeper Melissa Schnappauf (Nazareth, PA/Nazareth) recorded 4 saves as Sussex outshot the Spartans 8 to 4. 

"Overall I thought we played pretty well," remarked Head Coach Scott Cullen, " Sussex is a very talented and well-coached team ... we had some opportunities, we just struggled to find the back of the net."

The loss drops the Spartans to 7-3-1, while Sussex improves to 7-4-0.

Northampton is back in on action on Friday at Ocean County College, gametime is 3:30pm.
