BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Northampton Softball team swept Bucks County Community College in a doubleheader on Tuesday, taking game one 12-1 and game two 17-1, extending their winning streak to 4 games.
In game one,
Darion Jacoby (Palmerton, PA/Palmerton ) led the charge for Northampton, finishing 3 for 3 with a double, triple and homerun, 3 runs scored and 2 RBI.
Samantha Santucci (Springfield, NJ/J. Dayton High (NJ)) was 3 for 3 with 2 RBI and 2 stolen bases and
Erin Happel (Bangor, PA/Bangor ) earned the win in the circle, going 5 innings, allowing 1 run and striking out 8.
Laura Sweger (Elizabethville, PA/Upper Dauphin) and
Samantha Cordova (Hinsdale, NY/Hinsdale (NY)) saw time in the circle in game two, with Sweger throwing 3 innings, striking out 5 and allowing no runs. Cordova came on in the 4th, allowed one run and struck out 3.
The Spartans gave their pitchers all they would need in the bottom of the first, scoring 13 runs.

Miranda Youngkin (Easton, PA/Easton) was 4 for 4 with 4 stolen bases.
The sweep moves Northampton to 7-11 overall as they prepare to head to Newton, NJ on Wednesday to face Sussex County Community College at 3:30pm.
