NEWTOWN, Pa. - The Northampton women's volleyball team captured their 7th consecutive Region XIX Division III Championship on Saturday afternoon at Bucks County Community College, defeating 4th seeded Ocean County College, 3-1, to advance to the NJCAA National Tournament for the 4th consecutive season. The victory for Northampton was their 99th consecutive Region XIX Division III win.

Bridget Crimi (Nazareth, PA/Notre Dame - Green Pond ) led the Spartans with 19 digs, 7 kills and 3 aces, while
Abby Orth (Nazareth, PA/Nazareth) recorded 9 kills and 10 digs and
Savanna Jordan (Bath, PA /Bethlehem Catholic) notched 32 assists.
The Spartans took the first two sets 25-17, 25-13, before the Vikings rallied to take the third game 25-19. Northampton then took charge early in the 4th set and cruised to a 25-13 victory, clinching their 5th appearance in the national tournament in the last 7 seasons.
Samantha Hatfield (Saylorsburg, PA/Pleasant Valley) had 10 kills, 3 aces and 9 digs and
Caisey Kroschwitz (Bath, PA /Bethlehem Catholic) added 8 aces and 17 digs.

Adrian Yaguez, "it's never easy with a target on your back, and we have had one on our back for a long time and this group was able to overcome a number of obstacles and make it back to the big stage in Minnesota. I also want to congratulate Harrisburg on making it to the national tournament and give a shout-out to Ocean and RVCC on great seasons."
Harrisburg captured the Region 19B bracket, defeating Raritan Valley Community College, and will also represent Region XIX at the national tournament.
Bridget Crimi (Nazareth, PA/Notre Dame - Green Pond ) and
Samantha Hatfield (Saylorsburg, PA/Pleasant Valley) were both named to the All Tournament Team, along with Pascal El-Khouri (Ocean), Bryahna Shaw (RVCC), Shelby Hidebrand (HACC) and Tournament MVP Alyssa Kimmel (HACC).

Ocean finishes the season with an overall record of 16-5.
