ROCHESTER, MN - Playing in their 5th NJCAA National Tournament in 7 seasons, the Northampton women's volleyball team finished the 2018 campaign with a 3-1 setback to Harrisburg Area Community College on Friday afternoon. The loss leaves the Spartans with a national 12th place finish.

Adrian Yaguez, "this group overcame a number of obstacles this year that we have not faced in the past ... it was a challenging year, but rewarding, I'm very proud of what this group was able to accomplish."
Madelyn Deloglos (Northampton, PA/Northampton ) recorded 11 kills and sophomore
Bridget Crimi (Nazareth, PA/Notre Dame - Green Pond ) had 9 kills and 17 digs to lead Northampton.
After taking the first set 27-25, the Spartans dropped three straight; falling 20-25, 21-25, 20-25.
Caisey Kroschwitz (Bath, PA /Bethlehem Catholic) had 17 digs, as did sophomore
Samantha Hatfield (Saylorsburg, PA/Pleasant Valley), while
Shaelyn Lopez (Long Pond, PA/Pocono Mt. West ) notched 27 assists.
The loss ends Northampton's 99-game winning streak vs. Region XIX Division III opponents, which dates back to October 2011.
The Spartans end the season 15-8, while Harrisburg finishes 19-3.
