BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Northampton women's soccer team scored a school-record 14 goals on Thursday, downing Manor College 14-0 at Spartan Field.
Hannah Seltzer (Reading, PA/Schuylkill Valley) led the offensive onslaught with 4 goals, while
Kaille White (Phillipsburg, NJ/Phillipsburg (NJ)) had a hat-trick,
Yuna Kang (South Korea/Salem Christian) added 2 goals and
Grace Jacoby (East Stroudsburg, PA /East Stroudsburg North ) had 2 assists.
"Overall it was a good day for us," commented Head Coach
Erik Daly, "obviously Manor is a little down this year, but it allowed
Montana Cassaro (Bangor, PA/Bangor) to ease her way back into the lineup and a couple other girls had the opportunity to step up for us today."
Cassaro earned the shutout, making 1 save, for the Spartans.
Aliyah Flora (Bethlehem, PA/Nazareth) added 2 goals, while
Victoria Collier (Bangor, PA/Bangor),
Megan McCarty (Pen Argyl, PA/Pen Argyl) and
Desiree Ortiz (Bethlehem, PA/Lincoln Leadership Academy) each had a goal for the Spartans.
The win propels Northampton to 4-5-0 overall and 2-4 in Region XIX.
Manor falls to 0-3 overall.
