BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Northampton women's volleyball team improved to 2-0 with a convincing 3-0 victory (25-9, 25-16, 25-13) over Lackawanna College on Thursday evening at the Spartan Center.
Bridget Crimi (Nazareth, PA/Notre Dame - Green Pond )Â recorded 9 kills and had 16 digs,
Amber Werley (Bath, PA /Northampton )Â notched 5 kills and
Savanna Jordan (Bath, PA /Bethlehem Catholic) registered 23 assists to lead the Spartans.Â
Madelyn Deloglos (Northampton, PA/Northampton )Â added 3 kills and 4 aces and
Abby Orth (Nazareth, PA/Nazareth) had a team-high 17 digs for Northampton.Â
"Overall I thought we played pretty well," commented Head Coach
Adrian Yaguez, "we are still sorta feeling things out as we go, but we are moving in the right direction. This weekend will be a good challenge to see where we stand."
The Spartans, ranked 10th in the latest NJCAA DIII poll, hit the road to Long Island this weekend to face Northern Virginia Community College and Nassau Community College in a tri-match at Nassau on Saturday.Â
