NEWTOWN, Pa. - The Northampton Women's Soccer team clinched the 2019 EPAC Championship with a 4-1 victory over Bucks County Community College on Tuesday afternoon at the BCCC Soccer Plex.
Hannah Seltzer (Reading, PA /Schuylkill Valley) got the Spartans on the board first, scoring 10 minutes into the contest off an assist from
Angelique Herrera (Pen Argyl, PA/Pen Argyl).
Bucks knotted things up at 1-1 at the 38 minute mark and the game remained deadlocked at halftime.
Angelique Herrera (Pen Argyl, PA/Pen Argyl) put the Spartans on top with her 5th goal of the season, at the 74 minute mark, drilling a free kick into the net for the 2-1 Northampton lead.
Seltzer then found
Danielle Besser (Long Pond, PA/Pocono Mt. West ) with just over 13 minutes remaining to give Northampton a 3-1 cushion.

Seltzer finished things off two minutes later with her 16th tally of the season to make the final 4-1.
Montana Cassaro (Bangor, PA /Bangor ) recorded 6 saves as Bucks outshot the Spartans 17-16.
The victory propels Northampton to 7-2-0 overall, 6-1-0 in Region XIX and 6-0-0 in the EPAC.
Bucks falls to 6-8-0 overall, 4-7-0 in Region XIX and 3-4-0 in conference play.
The Spartans return to the pitch on Thursday when they host Montgomery County Community College at 3:30pm.
The EPAC title is Northampton's second in program history, as they were crowed co-champs in 2017.
